Today, I will share with you the disadvantages of living in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay, based on my personal experience.
🌡️ Intense Heat
The first notable disadvantage is the heat, particularly in December. With temperatures reaching 40 degrees, the heat can be overwhelming, especially if you’re not used to such climatic conditions. 🌞
🗣️ Language Barrier
Another challenge is the language barrier. Although some professionals like lawyers and notaries speak English, you will find that the majority of people in cafes and restaurants do not speak English. If you don’t speak Spanish, this can be an obstacle. 🌐
🏙️ The City Center
Personally, I found the city center of Asunción to lack cleanliness and appeal. While it is a lively place, it’s not the most pleasant setting for a prolonged stay. 🌆
🎉 Limited Nightlife
For those looking for a festive city, Asunción might not be the best choice. It’s a rather calm city, more suited for those who prefer a quiet lifestyle. 🍹
📌 Final Thoughts:
While living in Asunción has its disadvantages, it’s important to remember that every city has its challenges.
